Message from the Head

'Ysgol Uwchradd Caergybi is a welcoming and friendly school with a purposeful working ethos. We have high expectations of all our pupils in all aspects of school life. Academic success is important to us and we expect all our pupils to achieve the highest standard possible. Working closely with you, parents and prospective parents of the school, we have the highest expectations of our pupils in terms of attendance, punctuality, behaviour and appearance.

We take great pride in the fact that the pupils of Ysgol Uwchradd Caergybi are polite, friendly, confident and articulate. We frequently receive complimentary comments from local employers, visitors to the school and members of the community about the conduct of our pupils. This was acknowledged by ESTYN inspectors in 2008.

I believe that all young people are entitled to a first class education. They have one chance in their education system so we can not afford to offer them second best. Standards can never be too high and at Ysgol Uwchradd Caergybi we are continually working to raise standards in all that we do.

As Headteacher of Ysgol Uwchradd Caergybi, my task is to lead the drive for continuous improvement thereby ensuring that we provide the best education possible. My support and commitment to your child’s education is unstinting.'
